John Catchpole
TEK Electronics is a family owned and managed business by John and his wife Valerie Catchpole. The company was formed in 2000 from the engineering team of Jaltek Systems Ltd.
Johns wish when creating the company was to concentrate on product design and development. This wish has been granted and John and his team have been and are still continuing to develop & enhance products today. Check out our “Examples page” for details of just some of these products.
TEK Electronics was original based in Luton but now resides in the sunny market town of North Walsham in the Heart of Norfolk.
Val Catchpole
John has worked within a plethora of industries, including defence, cellular communication, civil aviation, medical, food and Agricultural. Within these industries he has been involved in designing & enhancing products which make them operate more effectually using electronics.
John has also until recently been a partner and a director of Tekpro Ltd situated in North Walsham Norfolk, he gave this role up to concentrate more on TEK Electronics, his fishing & grandfather duties.
Since a young boy John has always had an interest in electronic design, with problem solving being the core of the passion. John started with a military based engineering apprenticeship, attended college, John has a vast experience working within electronics in a manufacturing environment. He has a very much a hands-on approach to the work and still loves the design & manufacture process today.
He handles a lot of the technical stuff, you could say he's a 'problem solver' he deals with all kinds of raised issues and always makes sure that his team are happy. He has great 'relationships' with the customers and suppliers, he always does his best to help in every way possible.
